Warrandyte Historical Society ‘Slab Hut’ tour
Time: 28 March between 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Location: Castle Road, North Warrandyte
Info: The Slab Hut is classified by the National Trust and is regarded locally and by archaeological experts as a rare example of a pioneer home of the 1850s - 1900 era. Due to a later house being built around it, the cottage, of slab with clay infill, rubble chimney and bark roof, is in almost perfect condition.
Suitable for: The approach to the Hut and the Hut area itself are on uneven ground. A visit is not suitable for people with wheelchairs.
Parking: There is no parking available. Visitors are advised to walk to the site.
