Family Bike Ride
Time: 9.00am
Location: Marshall at Warrandyte Netball Courts, Taroona Avenue (opposite IGA).
Registration: Free at the event start.
Info: Families are welcome to enjoy a ride through Warrandyte, taking in the Festival precinct and Black Flat. Riders must provide their own safety equipment and children younger than 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Dog Show and Pet Parade
Time: 9.30am
Location: Riverbank Stage, Lower Reserve.
Info: Can your dog do tricks? Is your cat the fluffiest cat in Warrandyte? Do you have a friendly sheep? All pets are welcome to join in the fun (must be safe to the public and under owner’s control at all times). Hosted by Warrandyte High School.

Kids’ Market

Location: Upper Reserve, adjacent to Main Stage.
Info: Warrandyte youngsters are a talented bunch and the Kids’ Market is their chance to showcase their home-made and hand-made creations. Lots of yummy food, art and goodies to make your day.

Nature’s Playground
Time: 12.00pm – 4.00pm
Location: Upper Reserve downhill from the playground.
Info: Natures Playground offers a range of art and craft activities for children of all ages. Directed by local arts therapist Tania Virgona. This artistic project provides an opportunity for children to collectively create unique artistic instalments such as nests, sculptures, cubby houses, strongly influenced by our Indigenous heritage and natural materials. Come along and learn how to see the natural environment as a place with limitless options to play, imagine, relax and explore.

Historical Gold Mine Tour
Time: 2.00pm – 3.30pm
Location: Meet at 104 Webb Street, Warrandyte (State Park).
Info: Did you know that the first recorded official discovery of gold in Victoria was at Warrandyte, together with one in the Pyrenees, both declared on 16 July 1851? (Source: Warrandyte Historical Society). Well-known local John Hanson is once again hosting a visit to a 1850s gold mine. Learn about the history and hard work of Warrandyte’s founding gold miners. Hosted by Warrandyte Uniting Church. Donation to ‘Walk Against Want’ appreciated.

Jellybean Races
Time: 1.15pm
Location: Upper Reserve, adjacent to Information Caravan.
Info: Younger kids are invited to test their mettle balancing a jellybean on a wooden spoon. Everyone is a winner in this fun set of races.

Warrandyte Festival Annual Duck Race
Time: 2.30pm
Location: Yarra River. Ducks launched at the bottom of Police Street. Race ends at the bottom of Stiggant Street.
Info: Once again this iconic festival event will pit plastic duck against plastic duck, as they battle for the glory of first past the post. It’s the race that stops a village, albeit at a slightly slower pace!
Official festival ducks available at local schools prior to the festival and at the Information Caravan during festival weekend. Ducks may be decorated (please ensure no decorations can fall off into the river). See also ‘Warrandyte’s Most Decorated Ducks’.
